Note how the striped scarf, picking up only tiny accents of the yellow in the kimono itself, breaks up the intense colors of the kimono and brings the tone of the obi into the lower half of this outfit. The obi-jime is tied high, very youthful, and the obijime pattern (arrow pattern) echoes the pattern in the kimono itself. Very cleverly put together!
The eri, light and floral patterned, repeats the general pattern of the florals in the kimono and the colors of the obi.
